Revenant

Revenant is a VFX short of epic proportions with an unexpected twist. Set in a crumbling cityscape to be filmed on an old derelict industrial estate the film opens with a wide shot of a burning city skyline, in the distance a dropship descends between the buildings. From the back of the dropship several hitech armoured soldiers rush out and storm the buildings. The get into a firefight with what look like armed mercenaries or rebels. The hitech troops begin loosing ground to the mercs and in a last attempt to clear the building they begin pulling huge chains attached to something out from the back of the dropship. We cut back to the inside of the building and the wall explodes inwards showering the mercs in dust and debris. Through the smoke a disfigured creature bounds in and tears them up... As the dust settles one of the hitech soldiers steps in. He pats the monster with no fear, then he kneels down and removes the mask from the merc, the mans face is battle scarred. He stands back up and removes his helmet to reveal he is an alien.
